Qualification

Post-graduation (MS , Eye )done in 1991, then completed fellowship course in Cataract management from a reputed institute in Ahmedabad  & in Contact lens application Venu Eye Institute,  Delhi. Additionally  also completed PG DBM in 1995 in Hospital management from Delhi. Trained  IRQS auditor in ISO quality system.

Work Experience

As a professional  an experienced anterior  segment surgeon with more than 28 years of experience in the field of Ophthalmology. Actively involved in quality improvement & certification activities of the hospital & also added many new facilities at both the hospitals. Have teaching experience as  Ex. Hony.  Asst. Professor, Ophthalmology  attached to Local medical college since 1996, as well as  PG teaching  experience (DNB) at TMH since 2004. After 33 years of service, retired from Tata Main Hospital in August 2017 as Senior Consultant  & HOD. Since 2010 was also holding the responsibility of  Secretary & Superintendent of ‘Jamshedpur  Eye Hospital’ & still continuing at JEH.

Contributions

As a President, Jamshedpur Ophthalmological Society  (2015-2017) actively involved in Academic & CSR activities with a constant strive to improve overall eye care in the region by training of eye care professionals & promoting outreach activity.

Received several Best Paper awards for scientific presentations.  Also has publications in regional, national & international journals.
